"Just wanted to take a minute to thank you all for your kindness and caring hearts in the care of our border collie Jethro. What was a frightening and scary time for us became much more understandable and less traumatic. With my husband being away, we had an added level of stress. Your entire staff were so helpful and caring. You answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to make us and Jethro comfortable. Each time we showed up on your doorstep you were so attentive to our questions and helped us overcome our fears. Just thank you all so much for your love and caring hearts. If anyone ever needs to hear from someone about your Animal Care Center.....just have them get in touch with us. Thank you all and may God bless you abundantly for the care you give to His animals!" - The Collins Family

"It has been a little over 2 months since Molly’s first session with Shari Facchine, and Molly would say “Thank You Sharie!” Molly was having difficulty getting up and down, was reluctant to walk and while waiting for food or treats would opt to lay down.

By chance, I happened to stop into Woolands Animal Care Center to meet Dr. Wingfield and discussed my concerns regarding Molly. I was very impressed with Dr .Wingfield’s caring manner and expertise. I expressed my interest in the lazer therapy and was prepared to drive to Pittsburgh for the treatments. Much to my surprise and delight Dr. Wingfield said that the therapy was available at Woodlands Animal Care Center.

Two days later, Molly had her first session with Shari, and it has been uphill from there. Right away I noticed an improvement in Mollly’s mobility and her willingness to walk. Shari also gave me great suggestions for making eating and drinking less stressful on Molly’s joints. Shari is knowledgeable, loving, and caring. Three strong attributes in caring for hurting pets.

Molly is walking spritely these days, and her overall attitude is one that says I am not in pain, as she goes about her normal doggy day. Molly gained a quality of life where she is able to enjoy her days without pain & discomfort. Before lazer treatment I would have said that her behaviors mentioned earlier were signs of Molly getting older & tolerated. Molly and I are both grateful to Shari for her professionalism, and love of dogs. Molly would definitely say… (loudly)… “Thank You Shari!”  - Molly & Becky Kuzy

"During the six months that you have been caring for our pets, we could not be more pleased.  In that short period of time you have helped us with wellness exams, annual vaccinations, treated two cats with abscesses from bites and one with a urinary tract infection.  But the most enduring impact was the compassionate and tender treatment our cat George received during her last two weeks.  You were there to answer every phone call and question.  At the end you helped us make the difficult but right decision.  Your compassion towards us then and during the days to follow was a true comfort.  We have more pets that need your kind and professional treatment.  We hope you are part of the community for a long time." - The Catalano's

"I want to thank Shari Facchine, the board certified canine rehab therapist at the Woodlands Animal Care Center for the care that my dog, Maxine, has received. Maxine is three years old. She had a femoral head ostectomy in September 2009, for hip dysplasia. After the surgery, she would not use her right hind leg. Her back was misshapen from compensation for her leg. I had taken her to three board certified canine orthopedic surgeons and all of them told me the original surgery didn't take off enough bone and she would need more surgery. I brought her to Shari in December 2009. Her leg muscle was in constant spasm, her patella was subluxating and she cried when her leg was touched. Shari assured me she would help us. Shari was able to gain Maxine's trust within a few visits and developed realistic goals for Maxine in therapy. I don't have the adequate words to describe the improvement in my dog. Her knee is stable. She is able to jump into the car, onto the bed and couch and play again like she did before her surgery. She is beginning to run using four legs and we are weaning her off her pain medicines. Her recovery has been dramatic. Even more important, her personality is back to loving life again. The staff at the Woodlands Animal Care Center are wonderful, always accommodating to me and encouraging to Maxine. All of the staff care about Maxine's success. I am not exaggerating to say that not only did Shari save my Maxine from further surgery; she gave her life back to her. I would tell anyone who has loved a pet with a condition that would benefit from rehabilitative services to call Shari at the Woodlands Animal Care Center. " - Caprice Arenth
